What can I say about her and this wonderful album? It's one of the greatest albums in the history of music, I have no doubts about that.

She was a symbol of hippie movement in the 60s and the first woman considered as a rock and roll star.
Many polls place Janis among the greatest singers of all time. I think that the real secret of Janis is the strength and passion of her voice. Seldom I heard someone sing like her.

Pearl was released in 1971, six weeks after of her death. It's an album with influences of blues, country, rock and soul, and it's played in an amazing way for Janis. I'm sure you know Cry Baby, her most famous song. Another amazing songs of this album are Move Over, Mercedes benz and Trust Me.
